Food Allergy Testing
Many people notice they have sensitivities or intolerances to certain foods and sensitivity testing can help you understand the foods that may be responsible using a unique testing system.
Some symptoms of food sensitivities can be stiff joints, bloating, constipation, headaches, skin problems, sinusitis and fatigue.
What is tested?
A range of tests are carried out including 81 commonly eaten foods as well as vitamin & mineral deficiencies.
During the Consultation
A typical consultation takes an hour. Your symptoms are carefully reviewed and you will be asked to complete a short confidential questionnaire. The testing is non invasive and uses electrodermal testing to assess food intolerances. A Vega machine is used to assess reactions to substances which are suspected to be causing you health disturbances. During the Vega testing you will be holding an electrode connected to the machine whilst test substances are placed in the machine. Your reaction to the test substance is detected by using a stylus on an acupuncture point on the hand or toe. There are no blood tests or needles and the process is in not intrusive or uncomfortable
Interpreting Your Results
Your results will be explained to you and you will be guided through a programme, eliminating any food indicated in the test that you may find yourself intolerant to.
